Shipping to South Africa:
Export-Modified SW1612RD Parts Washer
Apollo Engineering, a leading name in industrial cleaning solutions, today announced a significant achievement in its global expansion with the completion of its first export-modified SW1612RD automated parts washer. This heavy-duty unit has been specifically redesigned to fit into a standard high top 40ft shipping container, enabling efficient and cost-effective international delivery. The first of its kind is destined for South Africa, where it will be used for the critical task of cleaning large mining gearbox gears.

The SW1612RD is engineered to deliver a superior, filtered wash and rinse in a single, automated cycle. This robust machine is built with all the standard features that have made Apollo a trusted brand, including a gear-driven turntable for controlled rotation and optimal cleaning, automatic water level control, and a 7-day timer for pre-programmed, energy-efficient operation. The unit is also fully compliant with AS4024 safety standards, ensuring maximum operator safety.

The SW1612RD boasts impressive specifications, including a 1600mm basket diameter, a 2000kg job weight capacity (with an option to upgrade to 3000kg), and a 450-litre water capacity. The machine’s insulated cabinet and advanced filtration systems are designed to minimize energy consumption and reduce chemical waste, making it a sustainable choice for heavy-duty industrial cleaning.

A key feature of this export model is the inclusion of Apollo Remote Access. This innovative technology allows Apollo’s Australian-based team to provide OEM support and diagnostics to the unit anywhere in the world, offering customers reliable and immediate assistance.
“This is a proud moment for Apollo Engineering, we have been exporting large spray washers and hot tanks for the past 20 years as out of gauge crated cargo, but this is a first to fit a SW1612RD into standard container without reducing the internal machine cleaning capacity” said Toma Skroza BDM. “Our ability to modify our powerful and efficient parts washers for export opens up new opportunities for us to serve international markets. We are thrilled to be able to provide South Africa’s demanding mining industry with a cleaning solution that is not only effective but also backed by our remote support.”
Apollo Engineering’s commitment to “Smart engineering. Global reach. Reliable support.” is embodied in this new export-ready parts washer, promising to enhance productivity, lower operational costs, and improve sustainability for workshops and industrial facilities worldwide.
