We are immensely proud to have been named the Manufacturer of the Year (50 or More Employees) at the 2024 Hunter Manufacturing Awards (HMA). This prestigious accolade celebrates our commitment to quality, innovation, and leadership in the manufacturing sector. It is a testament to the collective efforts of our talented team, whose dedication drives Apollo Engineering’s success.
Global Expansion and Industry Leadership
Our participation in the Mining Equipment, Technology, and Services (METS) India 2024 marked a significant milestone in our journey toward global market leadership. Supported by Investment NSW and Austrade, this initiative showcased our high-quality industrial cleaning machines to the Indian mining sector. The event opened doors to new collaborations and underscored Apollo Engineering’s reputation as a trusted partner in international markets.
Distinguished Visits and Recognitions
We had the privilege of hosting NSW Premier Chris Minns at our Tamworth facility. This visit highlighted Apollo Engineering’s contributions to regional innovation and economic growth. Premier Minns experienced firsthand how our investments in R&D, workforce development, and sustainable practices have positioned us as a leader in the industry, with exports reaching over two dozen countries.
State-of-the-Art Facility Expansion
At the beginning of 2024: we completed a major expansion of our Tamworth facility, adding 1,700m² of new space to enhance our manufacturing capabilities. The upgrades included:
- Advanced robotic welding technologies, such as a Fanuc MIG welding robot cell and a 3kW dual wire laser welding bay.
- Enhanced power supply systems to support increased production demands.
These improvements enable us to better serve our clients while maintaining our commitment to innovation and efficiency.
Commitment to Sustainability and Innovation
At Apollo Engineering, sustainability is at the core of our operations. Key initiatives in 2024 include:
- Biofeed System: An eco-friendly solution for food waste processing that reinforces our commitment to reducing environmental impact.
- MK3 SW1100 Parts Washer: This innovative and efficient industrial cleaning solution showcases our dedication to developing cutting-edge technologies that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
Investing in Talent and Community
Our dedication to nurturing talent and engaging with our community was evident through multiple initiatives:
- Apprenticeship Programs: Providing young Australians with valuable skills to strengthen the manufacturing sector.
- Educational Collaborations: Co-hosting the Engineering and Manufacturing Showcase with Training Services NSW, where over 90 schoolchildren and teachers from seven Tamworth schools explored engineering and manufacturing.
- “Future Made New England North West” Open Day and Forum: Demonstrating Apollo’s cutting-edge technologies to inspire the next generation of engineers and manufacturers.
In addition, we sponsored an entrant in the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Drovers Run 4WD Outback Adventure, a significant fundraiser ensuring free helicopter services across Northern NSW. Our participation in events like the “Careers on Country” expo further underscores our commitment to community engagement and fostering diversity in STEM fields.
